Funding Opportunity Now Available to School Nurses for Improving the Lives of Children with Asthma in Missouri

School Staff In-service DVD Available Now In partnership with the Missouri School Boards Association and the Missouri School Health Program, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has distributed DVDs for school staff in-service sessions regarding health matters. The DVD features four topics that commonly challenge school teachers and administrators: (1) asthma, (2) diabetes, (3) head lice and (4) seizures. Missouri School Asthma Manual Available to All School Nurses In partnership with the University of Missouri and the Missouri School Nurses Association, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services developed an asthma manual for school nurses. It contains educational materials, forms, and other items for addressing asthma management needs in the school setting. A manual is available for all schools.
